Soto Ngarso Jalan (Street) Magelang

Soto is one of the most popular food for breakfast in Yogyakarta. In almost every part of the City, we can easily find 'Warung Soto's (Warung= Small and not really fancy, but it's very common in Indonesia). And as a person who has been living in this City (not exay in the City, but in the suburban), I have found some legendary 'soto' who have got their own loyal customers. All of them have different tastes, but they are good in their own way.

There's always a distinct taste in each 'soto' so that they have their own customers. That's what attracts people to come and eat, not to mention the price that is affordable. There are also additional snacks that Javanese people like to eat such as 'fried tempe', 'sate' (of chicken, eggs, chicken's intestines, liver, and kidney (Javanese call them 'jeroan')) and 'kerupuk' (crackers). My favorite one is fried tempe or course.

The 'Warung Soto' I want to talk about here is the one called 'Warung Soto' Ngarso'. It's located on Jalan Magelang, across from DBL Academy Yogyakarta. The 'Warung' is quite small, but the 'soto' tastes really good. The fried tempe is also amazing. One of the best features of this 'Warung Soto' is the fried tempe. Usually I eat three tempe when I eat there. The tempe's crysp blends perfectly with the 'soto's' savoury taste. Though it doesn't have die hard lovers like the other 'Warungs' I believe that this 'Warung' deserves two thumbs-up.

While you're exploring Yogyakarta and what to try this legendary breakfast food, do not hesitate to visit this 'Warung Soto'. Though it's not big, but the place is quite comfy and pretty clean. And because it's not really famous, it's not packed with customers so that it's still comfortable to eat there since there's always space for you to eat. If like a place that's not really crowded, this is the right one for you. Here I attach some images of the 'Warung' and the 'soto' to give you a picture of what it looks like. Enjoy.
