Abandoned Omah Lowo

Omah Lowo is an abandoned Javanese-Colonial house in Solo. It's located right beside Aston Hotel Solo, only about 3 m from Slamet Riyadi street. If we come from Jogja, we turn right at a crossroad with traffic lights after passing 'Taman Sriwedari'.

It is unique in a way that it combines Javanese and Colonial architecture. It has a quite large front grass yard. Though abandoned, Colonial architecture enthusiasts often come and take photos of it.

When I went there for a short visit with a friend we ask the security guard whether we could take pictures from the inside or not, but unluckily he said we couldn't, unless we can get a permission from 'Batik Keris' (it's authorized owner, I guess). Then we decided to do that from outside the fence. We weren't lucky enough to get beautiful pictures (I'm sorry, nature), but there was no bright sunlight. My phone camera is incapable of taking beautiful pictures if there is no enough sunlight. But hopefully the three pictures show what the building would look like at any other time.
