PASTY

PASTY stands for 'Pasar Satwa dan Tanaman Hias Yogyakarta' (Yogyakarta Market of Pets and Ornamental Plants). It is located on Jl. Bantul, not far from Pugeran Church to the north and Dongkelan crossroad to the south. It's only about 4 km away from Kraton Yogyakarta. If you want to get there from the Kraton, please take a bus way, or rent a motorbike, or take an online ojek, or even rent a bike. If you ride a bike, here is the direction: (from the north square of Kraton) head to the west till you meet a first crossroad. Then turn left, and go head to the south till you find 'Pasar Ngasem' (Ngasem market). Once you get there,  turn right and go through the street until you find a T junction next to SD Keputran 5 (primary school), then turn left. Heading to the south, ride your bike till you get to another T junction, then turn right. After turning right and heading to the west, you'll see another T junction, then turn left. Heading to the south, about 70 m, you'll get to a traffic light of 'Pojok Beteng Kulon' (the southwest corner of Kraton). From this point you just need to head to the south for about 3 km straight forward. Before you get there you'll only pass another traffic light. When you get there, the pet market is on your left and the ornamental plant market is on your right. You can park your bike at any of the markets. At the pet shop, you'll see many kinds of pet like birds, rabbits, hamsters, cats, reptiles, fish etc. and the breeding and petting stuff as well. Then, at the ornamental market there are lots of plants available such as flowers (roses, bougainvilles, orchids, chrysanthemums, etc.), many other ornamental plats and some fruit plants. Shop there and support small businesses. Welcome to Jogja.
