Evening on Independence Day

Assalaamu'alaikum wonderful people. Please do stay so, as I am consolidating my grip. Recently I've been blown away by the government's mismatch to national issues and concerns. At times I feel disappointed. However, at other times, I feel like it's of no importance to focus on that disappointment. My brain keeps urging my soul to bear more positivity. That would me find better ways to cope with various occurrences.

Put aside this anxiety, last Sunday afternoon, I went to Malioboro street to see (again) what the independence day looked like this year. I expected to watch a fashion carnival as well, but I saw the wrong time. The parade was finished when I got there. Lucky that there was also "Parade Senja" (Afternoon Parade) at Gedung Agung. Aside from the festive Parade, which showcased two marching band performances, the vibes at the zero kilometre point was very lively. People walked passing me by, towards their respective destinations. Hopefully this year's moment of independence day would be a turning point for the government to lead the nation better. Aamiin. Stay wonderful, people.
