Evening on Independence Day

Assalaamu'alaikum, wonderful people. How is everything going? I hope everything is going well with you, and please stay wonderful. You might be concerned about what's happening today, and so am I. Recently, I've been blown away by the government's mismatch with national issues and concerns. At times, I feel disappointed; however, at other times, I think it's of no importance to focus on that disappointment. My mind keeps urging my soul to bear more positivity, which helps me find better ways to cope with various occurrences. I am consolidating my grip, as you might be doing right now.
Putting aside this anxiety, last Sunday afternoon, I went to Malioboro Street to see (again) what Independence Day looked like this year. I expected to watch a fashion carnival as well, but I saw the wrong schedule. The parade had finished when I got there. Luckily, there was also a "Parade Senja" (Afternoon Parade) at Gedung Agung. Aside from the festive parade, which showcased two marching band performances, the vibes at the zero-kilometer point were very lively. People walked by me, heading toward their respective destinations. Hopefully, this year's moment of Independence Day will be a turning point for the government to lead the nation better. Aamiin. Stay wonderful, people. Wassalaamu'alaikum.
