'Banyunibo' Temple



Banyunibo is a compound of temples located in Bokoharjo Village, Prambanan District, Sleman Regency. It is surrounded by hills on the north, east, and south. This compound was found ruined in November 1940. A research and restoration were conducted until 1942 where its roof and door were set. Following then, the soubasement, foot, body and north fence that were completed in 1962. The Temple restoration was fully finished in 1978. Banyunibo consists of 1 main (mother) temple and 6 pewara temples: 3 on the north and the other 3 on the south.









The Main/Mother Temple
 The Mother Temple of Banyunibo face towards the west. On its stair's left and right sides, relief of unidentified figures are sculpted. On top of the door, makara and lion relief is decorated. It is surrounded by 6 Pewara Temples which happen to be ruins. The temples are of square in shape and about 16 m2 each.





  





This is on the same way to 'Ratu Boko' Temple. Then it's not difficult to find it. There are signs that lead us to get there easily. The worst, if we are lost, google map is the best option. The location is detailed that it's detected on the map (of course, technology is developing second to second!).
